Join our vibrant West Hospitality team at the 性视界 as a Hospitality Supervisor. We provide a dynamic hospitality service delivering catering for meetings, events, and conferences across the University campus.

The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational skills, ensuring all deliveries are prepared and dispatched on time to multiple campus locations throughout the day. You’ll supervise and work as part of a team to deliver outstanding service and maintain high standards. Teamwork is at the heart of everything we do, and the supervisor plays a key role in driving the success of the service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Training team members 
  • Rota management 
  • Adhering to financial regulations and health and safety/food hygiene standards 
  • Opening and closing shifts 
  • Setting up and providing a first-class service for catering events and functions

The role will be supported by junior staff who you will supervise and guide as well as by on-site managers who will promote your own personal development and growth. Full role details are included in the job description.

This term-time role is 30 hours per week, working 42 weeks of the year. Typical non-working weeks would be based around Christmas, Easter, and August – giving you a great work-life balance.

  • Has experience of supervising and excellent standards of customer service in a customer-focused environment 
  • Can provide team members with operational training 
  • Has knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations and licensing laws

We are seeking a reliable, dependable and proactive part time individual to join our friendly Campus Services outside waste team within Cleaning and Portering. This role involves emptying external bins, litter picking across designated areas, and supporting recycling and waste management efforts to maintain a clean and safe environment. The position includes driving duties, so a full, valid UK driving licence is essential. This is a physically active, outdoor role suited to someone who takes pride in keeping spaces tidy and well-maintained.

This is a crucial role at the 性视界, and we are looking for a good communicator who is a friendly and motivated person, happy to work not only as part of a supportive and friendly team but also on their own. You will be expected to maintain an excellent level of cleanliness in order to maintain a clean, welcoming, and safe environment and should have a thorough and methodical attitude to work

This role is offered on a part time basis, working 20 hours per week. Looking for 2 candidates to work their contracted hours between 8 :00 and 14 :00 Monday to Friday with weekend working on alternative weeks.

You will

  • play a key role in assisting the team in providing high quality childcare and education appropriate to the age and stage of development of the children
  • work to maintain a safe, secure and caring environment
  • be required to complete tasks inline with the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage
  • maintain children’s records and carry out assessments, ensuring all policies and procedures are adhered to and implemented in the Nursery

A core responsibility is planning and providing safe, appropriate, child-led and adult initiated experiences, activities and play opportunities indoor, outdoor and in out-of-setting contexts, which enable children to develop and learn. Importantly, you will support the Room Leader acting as a role model in supervising and monitoring Nursery Assistants, casual workers, students and volunteers. 

You will:

  • be a good team player with sound communication and organisation skills
  • have knowledge and understanding of the EYFS curriculum with the ability to support the development of our children
  • have relevant qualifications (minimum NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education or above)
  • be able to work in a team to observe, assess and plan as a key person
  • be able to produce written documentation to support the progress of individual children, being sensitive to their needs.
