Human-AI Partnership for Work and Learning

We are dedicated to supporting collaborative research and application at the intersection of student capabilities and artificial intelligence, using a Students-as-CoPartners (SaP) framework. Our mission is to empower students as key collaborators in developing, testing, and disseminating knowledge on effective human-AI partnerships that enhance learning outcomes, work productivity, and societal well-being. We focus on projects that establish students as leaders in innovation, design thinking, and AI.

Core Research Areas:

• Student-Led Human-AI Teaming: Researching and designing collaborative models where students serve as co-creators alongside AI agents to solve real-world problems and drive innovation.
• Student-Centered AI Impact: Empowering students to partner in designing, testing, and optimizing AI-powered tools that enhance personalized educational experiences and learning outcomes.
• Ethical & Responsible Student-AI Integration: Investigating the social, ethical, and organizational implications of human-AI integration through the lens of student co-partnerships.
• Students Shaping the Future of Work: Analyzing and prototyping how AI transforms future job roles, skill requirements, and organizational design, positioning students as thought leaders in this evolution.

The Design Thinking for Good (DT4G) Club is our student-led initiative dedicated to applying human-centered design principles to solve real-world social and environmental challenges. Members are co-hosts in the upcoming public podcast: Between Two Prompts, Conversations at the intersection of Faculty, Students, and AI. This project reinforces our commitment to student-faculty partnership and knowledge dissemination.

What We Do:

• Workshops & Sprints: Host regular events where participants learn and apply Design Thinking methodologies.
• Podcast Hosting and Production: Serve as the supporting partners to hosts and producers for the collaborative podcast, Between Two Prompts.
• Skills Development: Provide mentorship and resources to help students build portfolios in innovation, prototyping, and ethical design.
